- 8 oz (225 g) pasta (such as penne or farfalle)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup bell peppers (mixed colors), sliced
- 1 cup zucchini, sliced
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: red pepper flakes for extra heat
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta:
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Sauté the Vegetables:
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the diced onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the garlic and cook for another 1 minute.
- Add the bell peppers, zucchini, cherry tomatoes, and broccoli. Cook until the vegetables are tender-crisp, about 5-7 minutes.
- Combine and Season:
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss with the vegetables.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
- Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until everything is well combined and heated through.
- Serve:
- Serve the Pasta Primavera warm, garnished with extra Parmesan and basil if desired.
