Imagine a perfect night in, with a crackling fire and your favorite movie playing. Now picture adding a mouthwatering homemade Pastrami Sandwich to the mix - pure perfection! This easy and flavorful dish is sure to elevate your evening and bring joy to your loved ones or to yourself 🥪✨ Don't miss out!

Ingredients:

  • Sliced rye bread (or your preferred bread)
  • Thinly sliced pastrami (about 4-6 ounces per sandwich)
  • Swiss cheese slices
  • Dill pickles, thinly sliced
  • Mustard (deli-style or Dijon, to taste)
  • Optional: sauerkraut, coleslaw, or Russian dressing
Instructions:
  1. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  2. Lightly toast the rye bread slices on one side.
  3. Meanwhile, warm the pastrami slices in the skillet until heated through.
  4. Once the bread is toasted, remove from the skillet and spread mustard on the untoasted side of each slice.
  5. Layer the pastrami slices on one slice of bread, followed by Swiss cheese slices and dill pickles.
  6. If desired, add sauerkraut, coleslaw, or a drizzle of Russian dressing.
  7. Top with the other slice of bread, mustard side down, to form a sandwich.
  8. Return the sandwich to the skillet and grill on each side until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  9. Remove from the skillet, slice in half if desired, and serve hot.
