  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2-2 cup pecans , corsely chopped
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt


  • Begin by creaming together butter and sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  • Incorporate vanilla into the mixture, ensuring it is well combined. Gradually add flour, salt, and pecans, stirring until all ingredients are thoroughly integrated.
  • Cover the dough and refrigerate for 20 minutes to allow it to firm up.
  • Once chilled, shape the dough into balls approximately 1 ½ inches in diameter.
  • Dampen the bottom of a glass cup slightly and gently press down on each ball of dough to flatten it into a cookie shape.
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and bake the cookies for 15-17 minutes, or until they are lightly golden brown.
