- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- Vanilla ice cream, for serving
- Chocolate sauce, for drizzling
- Optional toppings: chopped nuts, whipped cream, maraschino cherries
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 10-inch cast iron skillet or oven-safe skillet.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until well combined.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the bowl and mix until smooth.
