Ingredients:
Ingredients:
- 1 kg pork belly, skin on
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon five-spice powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Preheat your oven to 160°C (320°F).
- Score the pork belly skin with a sharp knife, making shallow cuts about 1 cm apart.
- Mix together the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, minced garlic, and five-spice powder in a bowl.
- Rub the marinade all over the pork belly, making sure to get it into the scores on the skin.
- Season the pork belly generously with salt and pepper.
- Place the pork belly on a wire rack set over a baking tray, skin side up.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 2 to 2.5 hours, or until the skin is crispy and the meat is tender. If the skin is not crispy enough, you can finish it under the grill for a few minutes.
- Once cooked, remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
