Instructions:

Ingredients:

- 1 baked 9-inch pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup white granulated sugar
- 3 oz unsweetened baking chocolate, melted and cooled slightly
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3 large eggs

- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for garnish
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter with a hand mixer until light and fluffy. Gradually add in the white sugar and keep beating until well combined and airy.
- Beat in the melted chocolate, vanilla, and salt until fully incorporated. The mixture will thicken up!
- Next, add in the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Keep mixing for 2-3 minutes until the filling is smooth, velvety, and luscious.
- Pour or spoon the silk pie filling into your pre-baked pie crust, smoothing out the top with a spatula. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow it to set up.
- Once set, make the whipped cream topping. In a cold bowl, beat the heavy cream with a hand mixer until it starts to thicken. Sprinkle in the powdered sugar and keep beating until stiff peaks form.
- Spread or pipe the whipped cream over the chilled silk pie filling. You can make it all fancy with swirls and peaks or just spread it neatly over the top!
- Garnish with chocolate shavings, a dusting of cocoa powder, or any other toppings that make your heart (or your sweetie's) go pitter-patter.
