Watermelon Sorbet Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of white sugar (adjust to taste)
- ยฝ cup of water
- ยผ cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 3 cups of cubed and seeded watermelon
- Prepare the Syrup: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the white sugar, water, and lemon juice. Stir continuously until the sugar is completely dissolved, which should take about 5 minutes. Remove the syrup from the heat and let it cool. Transfer it to the refrigerator and chill for approximately 30 minutes.
- Prepare the Watermelon Puree: While the syrup is cooling, take your cubed and seeded watermelon and blend it in a blender or food processor until it becomes a smooth puree.
- Combine and Freeze: Once the syrup is cooled and the watermelon is pureed, gently stir the watermelon puree into the chilled syrup until well combined.
- Freeze: Pour the watermelon mixture into your ice cream maker and follow the manufacturer's instructions for freezing to achieve your desired sorbet consistency.
- Serve: Once the sorbet reaches your preferred consistency, scoop it into bowls or cones, and enjoy this refreshing treat on a hot day!
- Optional: For an extra touch of freshness, garnish your watermelon sorbet with mint leaves or a slice of fresh watermelon before serving.
