What is the difference between eggnog and holiday nog?

Hey all, just a curious mind here. Does anyone know the difference between eggnog and holiday nog? Is there really any difference?
Eggnog and holiday nog are similar, but eggnog has stricter guidelines. Eggnog must contain a minimum amount of egg yolk and have a higher fat content. Holiday nog, on the other hand, can have less egg and lower fat content, making it lighter and sometimes appealing to those with egg allergies or dietary restrictions.

oh I see! Thanks for the info!!

One big difference I think is that eggnog is often spiked with alcohol like rum or bourbon, though holiday nog is typically non-alcoholic. Cheers to both versions! 🥃
