Why are my ham and beans turning out so watery?

I used a recipe and I can’t seem to get my ham and beans any less watery 😪 The dish I prepared looks more like soup than anything else. Can anyone guess what could be wrong with the code or how it can be corrected? Thanks for your help! 🤔
 
Ah, that’s the worst! 😅 It could be extra broth or maybe the beans didn’t absorb enough. Try simmering with the lid off to reduce some of that liquid—it should thicken up!
 
Your ham and beans might be too watery because there’s too much liquid or not enough thickening—try simmering uncovered to reduce it or mashing some beans to thicken the broth!
