Ingredients

- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup (40g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup (65g) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup (120ml) heavy cream
- 1 cup (170g) white chocolate chips
- Green food coloring
- Candy eyeballs, sprinkles, and other Halloween-themed decorations
Instructions
- Preheat Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Make the Brownies:
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Add the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan.
- Prepare the Witch's Brew Topping:
- In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Remove from heat.
- Add the white chocolate chips to the hot cream and stir until melted and smooth.
- Add a few drops of green food coloring and stir until you achieve a spooky green color.
- Decorate the Brownies:
- Pour the green topping over the cooled brownies, spreading it evenly.
- Quickly add candy eyeballs, sprinkles, and any other Halloween decorations before the topping sets.
- Chill and Serve:
- Place the brownies in the fridge for 30 minutes to set the topping.
- Once set, cut into squares and serve.
