Hey everyone! This is a fun and delicious recipe for Amish Friendship Bread. Itβs a sweet, cinnamon-spiced bread thatβs perfect for sharing. Youβll need a starter to get going, so make sure you start this a few days ahead!

For the Starter:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup starter (see note)
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 eggs
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- Optional: 1 cup chopped nuts or raisins

Make the Starter:
- In a bowl, combine 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, and 1 cup milk.
- Mix well, cover with plastic wrap, and let it sit at room temperature for 3 days. Stir once each day.
- Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
- Grease and flour two loaf pans.
- In a large bowl, mix 1 cup of the starter with 1 cup vegetable oil, 1 cup sugar, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
- Add 3 eggs, 2 teaspoons cinnamon, 2 teaspoons baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 2 cups flour. Mix until well combined.
- Fold in nuts or raisins if desired.
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared loaf pans.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
