Ingredients:
- 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup of your favorite barbecue sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Optional: chopped fresh parsley or green onions for garnish
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare the Chicken Thighs:
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- Season both sides of the chicken thighs with salt and pepper.
- Coat with Barbecue Sauce:
- Brush or drizzle olive oil over the chicken thighs to help them crisp up in the oven.
- Place the chicken thighs in a single layer in a baking dish or on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the barbecue sauce generously over each chicken thigh, ensuring they are well coated.
- Bake the Chicken:
- Place the baking dish or sheet in the preheated oven.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the chicken thighs are cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Halfway through the cooking time, you can brush the chicken with more barbecue sauce if desired.
- Serve:
- Once the chicken thighs are done, remove them from the oven.
- Let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley or green onions if desired.
- Serve hot and enjoy your delicious baked BBQ chicken thighs!
