Ingredients:
- 500g firm white fish fillets (such as cod or tilapia)
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for brushing
Instructions:
- Preheat your barbecue to medium-high heat.
- In a food processor, pulse the fish fillets until finely chopped.
- Transfer the chopped fish to a mixing bowl. Add breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, beaten egg, chopped parsley, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.
- Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into patties.
- Brush each fish patty lightly with olive oil on both sides.
- Place the patties on the preheated barbecue grill.
- Grill the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and nicely browned on the outside.
- Serve the barbecued fish patties hot with your favorite sauce or accompaniments.
