Ingredients:
- 1.5 lbs chicken thighs, boneless and skinless, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup bourbon whiskey
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Cooked rice, for serving
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add chicken pieces and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, bourbon, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
- Pour sauce over chicken in the skillet, reduce heat to medium, and simmer until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken pieces, about 10-15 minutes.
- Serve bourbon chicken over cooked rice, garnished with sliced green onions.
