It's all about that gooey, melty comfort in a skillet with minimal effort. Ideal for those chilly nights when you're in need of some serious warmth and yumminess!
Ingredients:
- 1 medium loaf of Italian or French bread
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Chopped fresh basil for garnish
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- Use a serrated knife to cut a rectangle shape out of the top of the bread loaf, leaving about 1/2 inch border on all sides. Hollow out the inside to create a bread bowl, reserving the pulled out bread pieces.
- In a bowl, mix together the ricotta, mozzarella, parmesan, marinara sauce, garlic, and Italian seasoning until well combined.
- Spread half of the cheesy marinara mixture into the hollowed-out bread bowl.
- Cut or tear the reserved bread pieces into chunks and gently toss them with the remaining cheesy marinara mixture.
- Transfer the loaded bread boat to an oven-safe skillet and mound the cheese/bread chunk mixture all around it.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheesy is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh chopped basil and serve while piping hot!
