Ingredients

  • 4 large carrots, peeled and chopped
  • 2 large oranges, peeled and segmented
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon honey or agave syrup (optional, to taste)
  • Water (as needed)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Wash and peel the carrots, then chop them into smaller pieces for easier blending. Peel the oranges and separate them into segments.
  2. Blend: In a blender, combine the chopped carrots and orange segments. Add a bit of water (about 1/2 cup to start) to help with blending. Blend until smooth.
  3. Strain (Optional): If you prefer a smoother juice, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a bowl or pitcher. Press down to extract as much juice as possible.
  4. Add Flavor: Stir in the lemon juice and honey or agave syrup if desired. Adjust sweetness to your liking.
  5. Chill and Serve: Pour the juice into glasses over ice and enjoy!

Tips

  • For added flavor, consider adding a small piece of fresh ginger or a pinch of turmeric.
  • This juice is best served fresh but can be stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours.

So one of my all time favorite dessert is carrot and orange (I'd say it has a very heavy texture so I eat it with a spoon). Basically I take a whole orange including the pulp and I blend it with carrots, and then I add some cinnamon on the top, but I heard that fruit juice is bad, so is this method unhealthy ? Especially that I am on a strict diet.
