I just tried this super easy and tasty salmon belly recipe, and I had to share it with you all. It’s crispy, buttery, and garlicky—perfect for a quick dinner or even as a snack. Let me know if you give it a try!
Ingredients:
- 500g salmon belly strips (or more, no judgment if you're hungry! )
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced (or more if you're a garlic lover like me!)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- Juice of half a lemon
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: a sprinkle of chili flakes for a bit of heat
How to Make It:
- Prep the salmon belly: Pat the strips dry with a paper towel (this helps them crisp up nicely). Season with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Cook the salmon: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add a tiny splash of oil and then sear the salmon belly strips, skin side down, until crispy (about 2-3 minutes per side). Remove and set aside.
- Make the sauce: In the same pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté until fragrant (don’t let it burn!). Stir in soy sauce, lemon juice, and chili flakes if using.
- Combine: Add the salmon belly back to the pan and gently toss to coat in the sauce. Cook for another minute, just to heat through.
- Serve: Plate it up with steamed rice, a side of veggies, or even on its own. Don’t forget to drizzle all that buttery goodness over the top!
Hope you enjoy it as much as I did! If you have any tweaks or additions, share them—I’m always up for experimenting.
