DIY Rice Milk Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cooked white rice
  • 4 cups water
  • 1-2 tablespoons sweetener (such as honey, maple syrup, or sugar) (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • A pinch of salt (optional)
Instructions:

  1. Place the cooked white rice and 4 cups of water in a blender.
  2. Blend on high until the mixture is smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. If you prefer a sweeter rice milk, add your choice of sweetener, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt, then blend for another 30 seconds.
  4. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve, cheesecloth, or nut milk bag into a large bowl or pitcher to remove any rice solids.
  5. Pour the strained rice milk into a clean bottle or jar and refrigerate. Shake well before each use.
  6. Enjoy your homemade rice milk chilled or use it in your favorite recipes!
