Hey everyone! Iā€™ve been making fresh fruit syrup lately, and itā€™s become a staple in my kitchen. Super easy and great for pancakes, yogurt, or even drinks! You can pretty much use any fruit you have on hand. Thought Iā€™d share the basic recipeā€”hope you try it and let me know how it goes!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh fruit (berries, peaches, or whatever you like)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar (you can adjust this to taste or use honey)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (optional, but it brightens up the flavor!)
Instructions:

  1. Combine the fruit, water, and sugar in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  2. Once itā€™s boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes until the fruit is soft and the mixture thickens a bit.
  3. If you like a smooth syrup, you can strain out the fruit bits, but I personally love leaving them in! If you want it extra smooth, blend it.
  4. Stir in the lemon juice and let the syrup cool down before serving.

Thatā€™s it! Store it in a jar in the fridge, and itā€™ll keep for about a week (if it lasts that long šŸ˜‹). Perfect for a little extra sweetness on whatever youā€™re eating or drinking!
