Fluffy Breakfast Soufflé Recipe

Ingredients:
  • 4 large eggs, separated
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite)
  • 2 tablespoons finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: diced ham, cooked bacon, sautéed vegetables, fresh herbs
Instructions:
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a small baking dish or individual ramekins with butter or cooking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, milk, melted butter, shredded cheese, and grated Parmesan cheese until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. In a separate clean mixing bowl, beat the egg whites with a hand mixer or stand mixer until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the yolk mixture, being careful not to deflate the egg whites too much. This will help create a light and fluffy soufflé.
  5. If using any optional toppings, fold them into the soufflé mixture at this point.
  6. Pour the soufflé mixture into the prepared baking dish or ramekins, filling them about three-quarters full.
  7. Place the baking dish or ramekins on a baking sheet and carefully transfer them to the preheated oven.
  8. Bake the Fluffy Breakfast Soufflé for 15-18 minutes, or until puffed up and golden brown on top.
