I made Bhel Puri recently, and let me tell you—this crunchy, tangy, and spicy Indian street food snack is irresistible! 🤩🥄 It’s a quick and easy mix of puffed rice, veggies, chutneys, and crispy sev, making every bite a burst of flavors and textures. Perfect for a light snack or a party appetizer!

Ingredients:

For the Bhel Mix:

  • 2 cups puffed rice (murmura)
  • ½ cup sev (thin crispy chickpea noodles)
  • ½ cup papdi (crushed, optional)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 small tomato, finely chopped
  • 1 small boiled potato, diced
  • 2 tablespoons raw mango, finely chopped (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons coriander leaves, chopped

For the Chutneys:

  • 2 tablespoons tamarind chutney
  • 1 tablespoon green chutney (mint-coriander chutney)
  • 1 teaspoon red garlic chutney (optional, for extra spice)

Seasoning:

  • ½ teaspoon chaat masala
  • ½ teaspoon roasted cumin powder
  • ½ teaspoon red chili powder (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions:

1. Prep the Ingredients:
Chop the onions, tomatoes, potatoes, and coriander leaves. Keep the chutneys and seasonings ready.
2. Mix the Dry Ingredients:
In a large bowl, add puffed rice, sev, and crushed papdi.
3. Add the Fresh Ingredients:
Toss in onions, tomatoes, boiled potatoes, and raw mango.
4. Add the Chutneys & Spices:
Drizzle tamarind chutney, green chutney, and garlic chutney over the mix. Sprinkle chaat masala, cumin powder, red chili powder, salt, and lemon juice.
5. Mix & Serve Immediately!
Toss everything together quickly so the puffed rice stays crispy. Garnish with more sev and coriander. Serve in bowls or on a plate—eat immediately for the best crunch!

Conclusion:

Bhel Puri is light, refreshing, and packed with bold flavors—sweet, spicy, tangy, and crunchy all at once! It’s one of those snacks that you just can’t stop eating. 😍🌶️ If you love Indian street food, this is a must-try!
