Hey everyone!

I just made the most amazing popovers and had to share the recipe with you all. They're super light, airy, and perfect with a bit of butter and jam. Here’s how I make them:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted (plus extra for greasing the pan)
Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and place a popover pan or a muffin tin inside to heat up.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the eggs until frothy, then add the milk and melted butter, mixing well.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and whisk until just combined. The batter will be slightly lumpy, but that's okay!
  5. Carefully remove the hot pan from the oven and generously grease it with butter.
  6. Pour the batter into the pan, filling each cup about halfway.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes at 450°F (230°C), then reduce the temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake for another 20 minutes, or until the popovers are golden brown and puffed up.
  8. Do not open the oven door while baking to ensure they rise properly.
  9. Once done, remove from the oven and immediately poke each popover with a knife to let the steam escape.

Serve warm and enjoy! They’re great with sweet or savory toppings. Let me know if you give them a try or if you have any tweaks to the recipe!
