- 1 kg pork belly, thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
- In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, gochujang, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, minced ginger, and sesame oil to create the sauce.
- Place the thinly sliced pork belly in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish.
- Pour the sauce over the pork belly, making sure each slice is evenly coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight for maximum flavor.
- Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Once hot, add the marinated pork belly slices to the pan in a single layer, working in batches if necessary.
- Cook the pork belly for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until caramelized and cooked through.
- Remove the cooked pork belly from the pan and place it on a serving platter.
- Garnish with thinly sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
- Serve hot with steamed rice and your favorite Korean side dishes.
