Hey there, pho lovers! 🍜 Craving a bowl of comforting pho but don't have hours to spend in the kitchen? I've got you covered with this super quick and easy version that'll satisfy your cravings in no time! 😃

Ingredients:
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 star anise
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 200g rice noodles
  • 200g thinly sliced beef (sirloin or flank steak)
  • Toppings: bean sprouts, Thai basil, lime wedges, sliced chili
Instructions:
  1. In a pot, bring the broth to a boil with cinnamon and star anise. Simmer for 10 mins.
  2. Add fish sauce and brown sugar, stir until dissolved.
  3. Meanwhile, cook rice noodles according to package instructions.
  4. Divide noodles between bowls, top with raw beef slices.
  5. Pour hot broth over the beef (it'll cook from the heat).
  6. Add your favorite toppings and dive in!

I enjoy making pho on busy evenings! I think using thinly sliced beef and letting it cook in the hot broth for a short time keeps it tender. Though garnishing with sriracha and hoisin sauce brings the flavors together! 🌶️🥢
