  • 1/4 to 1/2-inch piece of serrano pepper, seeded (optional)
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes

Instructions:
  1. In a blender or a bowl (if using an immersion blender), combine Greek yogurt, chopped cilantro, fresh mint leaves, roasted cumin powder, amchur, grated ginger, black salt, kosher salt, serrano pepper (if using), water, and ice cubes.
  2. Blend until the mixture becomes frothy.
  3. Serve the lassi immediately, or refrigerate for a few hours before serving. Stir well before serving if refrigerated.
  4. To serve, pour the lassi into glasses and garnish with a sprinkle of roasted cumin powder.
  5. Provide a spoon or a swizzle stick with each glass to stir the drink, as the spices may settle at the bottom over time.
Note: You can easily make your own roasted cumin powder by toasting whole cumin seeds in a dry pan over medium-high heat until they start to color (1 to 2 minutes). Let them cool, then grind into a powder using a spice grinder or mortar and pestle. Store the excess powder in a tightly sealed jar for future use.
