Hey everyone, I want to introduce you to a delicious Vietnamese Noodles recipe! 🍜 This pho is packed with flavorful broth, tender meat, and fresh herbs. It's simple to make and perfect for any meal. Let's get cooking! 😋

  • For the Broth:
    • 4 cups beef or chicken broth
    • 1 onion, peeled and halved
    • 1 piece of ginger (2 inches), sliced
    • 2 star anise
    • 1 cinnamon stick
    • 4 cloves
    • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
    • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
    • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • For the Noodles and Toppings:
    • 8 oz rice noodles (pho noodles)
    • 8 oz beef sirloin or chicken breast, thinly sliced
    • Fresh herbs (cilantro, basil, and mint)
    • Bean sprouts
    • Lime wedges
    • Thinly sliced red chili or jalapeno
    • Sliced green onions
    • Hoisin sauce
    • Sriracha sauce

Instructions:​

  1. Prepare the Broth:
    • In a large pot, add the beef or chicken broth.
    • Add the onion, ginger, star anise, cinnamon stick, and cloves.
    • Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 30 minutes.
    • Add fish sauce, soy sauce, and sugar. Stir well.
    • Strain the broth to remove the solids, keeping only the clear broth. Keep it hot.
  2. Cook the Noodles:
    • Cook the rice noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. Assemble the Pho:
    • Divide the cooked noodles into serving bowls.
    • Arrange the raw beef or cooked chicken slices on top of the noodles.
    • Pour the hot broth over the meat and noodles. The hot broth will cook the thinly sliced beef.
    • Top with fresh herbs, bean sprouts, lime wedges, chili slices, and green onions.
    • Serve with hoisin sauce and sriracha on the side for additional flavoring.
