- 1-inch piece ginger, minced
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup ground almonds
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Directions:
- Cook onions: Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions and cook until golden brown.
- Add garlic and ginger: Stir in garlic and ginger, cooking until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Spice it up: Add ground coriander, cumin, turmeric, garam masala, and chili powder. Cook for another minute.
- Add chicken: Toss in the chicken pieces, cooking until they are no longer pink on the outside.
- Create sauce: Mix in yogurt, cream, and ground almonds. Stir well to combine and simmer for 20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
