Ingredients:

  • 500g beef steak (such as sirloin or ribeye), sliced thinly
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice or calamansi juice
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: sliced bell peppers, for added flavor and color
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, combine the minced garlic, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and lemon juice to make the marinade.
  2. Marinate the sliced beef in the mixture for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  3. Heat the cooking oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Once the oil is hot, add the sliced onions and cook until they are soft and translucent.
  5. Add the marinated beef slices to the pan, making sure to spread them out evenly.
  6. Cook the beef for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness.
  7. If using bell peppers, add them to the pan during the last minute of cooking to soften slightly.
  8. Season the beef with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Once the beef is cooked, transfer it to a serving plate and garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
  10. Serve hot with steamed rice or mashed potatoes.
