Decadent Chocolate Lava Cake

Who’s ready for a little taste of heaven in the form of warm, gooey chocolate lava cake? 🍫

Ingredients:

• 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
• 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
• 1 cup powdered sugar
• 2 large eggs
• 2 egg yolks
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
• Pinch of salt
• Fresh berries, for garnish
• Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and grease four ramekins or custard cups with butter.
2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and chopped chocolate together in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, eggs, egg yolks, and vanilla extract until well combined.
4. Gradually pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, stirring until smooth and creamy.
5. Sift in the flour and salt, and gently fold until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
6. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins, filling each about three-quarters full.
7. Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is still slightly jiggly.
8. Remove the lava cakes from the oven and let them cool for a minute or two.
9. Carefully invert each ramekin onto a plate, and watch in awe as that rich, molten chocolate lava flows out.
10. Garnish your Chocolate Lava Cakes with fresh berries and a dusting of powdered sugar for a touch of elegance.
11. Serve your decadent dessert immediately, and prepare to be amazed by the lusciousness of every bite!
