I'm on the hunt for some secrets to get my black bean burgers just a bit thicker. They're always a hit, but I feel like they could be even better. Any tips or tricks you'd be willing to share?
Mash the beans less: I've found that sometimes, if I mash the black beans too much, they can become too mushy and wet. Keeping some beans whole or partially mashed can add texture and help with thickness.Oooh, try mashed oats or some breadcrumbs to help bind the mixture ..They soak up moisture and add a bit of texture too ..Let me know if it works!
