Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour (for topping)
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • ¼ cup sliced almonds
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted (for topping)
Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Stir in the milk, egg, and melted butter until just combined.
  4. Gently fold in the fresh raspberries.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
  6. For the crumb topping: In a small bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and sliced almonds. Add the melted butter and mix until crumbly.
  7. Sprinkle the crumb topping evenly over the batter.
  8. Bake for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the cake to cool before serving.
