Ingredients

  • For the Cheese Ball:
    • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
    • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
    • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
    • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
    • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
    • Salt and pepper to taste
  • For the Coating:
    • 1 cup crushed nuts (like pecans or walnuts) or breadcrumbs
  • For Decorating:
    • Pretzel twists (for antlers)
    • Cherry tomatoes or red grapes (for the nose)
    • Black olives (for the eyes)
    • Optional: fresh parsley or spinach for the base

Instructions

  1. Mix the Cheese Ball: In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, feta cheese, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Chill the Mixture: Cover the mixture and refrigerate for about 30 minutes to make it easier to shape.
  3. Form the Cheese Balls: Once chilled, scoop out portions of the mixture and roll them into balls (about 1-2 inches in diameter).
  4. Coat the Cheese Balls: Roll each cheese ball in the crushed nuts or breadcrumbs until fully coated.
  5. Decorate: Place the cheese balls on a serving platter.
    • Insert pretzel twists into the top for antlers.
    • Place a cherry tomato or red grape at the front for Rudolph's nose.
    • Add black olives for the eyes.
  6. Serve: Optionally, garnish with fresh parsley or spinach around the cheese balls for a festive touch. Serve with crackers or veggie sticks.

Tips

  • You can make the cheese balls ahead of time and store them in the fridge until you're ready to serve.
  • Feel free to customize with your favorite cheese or spices!
